Üksik SÜ (CI) kirje CMDB andmebaasis sisaldab järgmisi andmeid:
- unikaalne tunnus (ID)

- kirjeldus
- vastutav töötaja (isik, kellega on sõlmitud tööleping)
- Liigitus:
- Kategooria (nt Riistvara, Tarkvara, ..)
- Tüüp (nt Server, Printer, ... - kategooriate liigituste alamliik)

- Seerianumber
